Olga’s Story
Olga Biehler had lived many lives — an fbi classified secretary, a piano teacher, a realtor, the mother of nine children and the grandmother of eight grandchildren. She loved people, opera and the New York Times.
After her husband passed, she began to feel isolated, craving more social stimulation. Olga’s daughter, Paula Biehler, built a network of family and community support. Local friends and family provided social outings, weekly lunches and home organization. Out-of-town siblings visited more often, called regularly and wrote cards and letters. However, family and friends alone, could not compensate for everything. There was still a gap.
Paula’s endless search for truly, qualified support continued. She devoted much of her time to researching local social programs, exploring referrals from friends, trialing potential companions and learning how to navigate the elderly care system, so she could provide a worthy quality of life for her mother.
OLGA was founded to transform how we collectively think about aging. Every family's circumstances differ, there is no “one size that fits all.” OLGA strives to provide clients with quality companionship and the knowledge and resources to create their own best lives—curated just as they desired.
About the Founder
Paula Biehler is distinguished by her straightforward approach and her unparalleled personalized service to every client.
As a media strategist at Paula Biehler PR, Paula built a vast network in Central Texas, including longtime affiliations with cultural, social and culinary groups, nonprofits and professional associations, as well as alliances with many of Austin’s key influencers and decision makers.
She implements the same strategy at OLGA, tapping into her vast network of partners in the community, from art museums, fine restaurants, and yoga studios to the ballet, botanical gardens, and symphony. The result—an elevated companion care program— an inspired life for OLGA members and beyond. The eighth of nine children, Paula cared for her parents in the last stages of their lives and pursued the best resources for their ideal well-being. Now a mother of three grown children and two grandchildren, she resides in Central Austin and continues to explore the best the city has to offer, for the life she and OLGA desire.
What we believe
